LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY / ACCESS Newswire / August 21, 2025 / Quantrell Subaru has kicked off the new school year by giving back to the community. This donation will ensure teachers and students start the year with the tools they need to succeed, providing everything from basic supplies to learning resources throughout the school year.

A Community Contest to Support Local Schools

This marks the second year Quantrell Subaru has hosted its community school supply contest. The dealership pre-selected 10 elementary schools in Fayette County to participate. These schools then went head-to-head in a social media voting competition, encouraging parents, students, alumni, and community members to cast votes. After a spirited campaign that generated 16,000+ votes, five schools emerged as winners, each receiving a supply package valued at $6,000.

"Education is the foundation of every strong community," said Brentley Jones, General Manager of Quantrell Subaru. "This whole idea started when I looked into and realized how much of their own money our teachers spend on school supplies for their classrooms. When we invest in our local schools, we're investing in the future of Lexington. It's a privilege to help these teachers and students have the resources they deserve from day one."

Cassaundra Watkins, Harrison Elementary School: "Thank you so much to Quantrell Subaru. These school supplies for our kiddos just level the playing field, and Quantrell is making things happen in the community for kids that really need it."

Ebony Hutchinson, William Wells Brown Elementary: "Equity is so important. I want to make sure that we are providing a world-class education for our students. These donations are just going to check all the boxes, and be able to fill classrooms with what they need to be successful."

Michael Price, Breckinridge Elementary School: "For us, equity means value in all kids. And thanks to partners such as Subaru, we're closing the opportunity gap. Through these types of donations, all kids see the value in themselves and can be the best versions of themselves."

The Subaru Loves Learning program is part of Subaru of America's larger commitment to supporting education across the country. Through the AdoptAClassroom.org partnership, Subaru retailers like Quantrell Subaru provide direct funding and essential resources to help close the gap between what students need and what schools can afford.

Quantrell Subaru's commitment to giving back extends beyond the classroom, supporting local causes as part of the Subaru Love Promise, a pledge to make a positive impact in the Lexington community and beyond.
