RIYADH, SA / ACCESS Newswire / August 21, 2025 / As artificial intelligence becomes a go-to tool for drafting executive speeches and boardroom messaging, communication coach Kevin Abdulrahman warns that many senior leaders are learning a painful lesson: sharp scripts don't equal strong delivery.

"On paper, the language may look perfect, polished, clever, compelling," Abdulrahman said. "But when the pressure hits, the performance collapses. The speaker sounds stiff, disconnected, or simply forgettable."
This growing disconnect has led Abdulrahman to expand his media training program with a focus on high- level executives-particularly CEOs, CMOs, CTOs, CIOs, and board chairs who are now relying on generative AI tools for speechwriting, while overlooking the human skill required to deliver those messages with authority.
"There's a mismatch we keep seeing across leadership," he adds. "Smart script. Stiff speaker."
According to Abdulrahman, the overuse of tools like ChatGPT is contributing to what he describes as "executive puppeteering"-leaders reading well-written words with no real presence or conviction behind them. "You can prompt a paragraph, but you can't prompt presence & command," he explains.
While generative AI has transformed back-end tasks and even replaced entire roles across industries, it has also created a false sense of security at the top. "AI is displacing a lot of jobs," Abdulrahman said. "But it can't help you with presence. It won't give you the ability to command a room, de-escalate a crisis, or lead when tension is high."
According to Abdulrahman, many senior leaders have outsourced their preparation while forgetting the one thing that can't be automated: presence under pressure.
The new training modules focus on preparing high-level executives for:
Live media interviews
Boardroom briefings
Shareholder presentations
Industry panel discussions
Crisis communication scenarios
"In a world where AI can automate your slides and write your remarks, the one thing it still can't do is upgrade you," Abdulrahman said.
Abdulrahman's clients span sectors including finance, energy, government, artificial intelligence, and technology, with growing demand from public sector institutions and Gulf-based family offices.
As regional business environments evolve, with increased public scrutiny, digital transparency, and international expansion, executives are realizing that AI can write a speech, but it can't protect a reputation.
"Leaders who skip communication training are now the ones drawing attention for the wrong reasons," Abdulrahman said. " Today communication is no longer a soft skill, it's your hardest edge."
